Today’s scripture is found in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Our Prayer Covenant ministry hears stories every month of lives being transformed by praying The Prayer Covenant. While the prayer may seem simple, it is not simplistic. The ten discipleship principles within the prayer lead one to immediately begin praying for God’s will and to develop a lifestyle of prayer.
The growth of The Prayer Covenant in the last several years has indeed been an answer to prayer. By God’s grace, over five million children have been discipled in over 50 countries through The Prayer Covenant for Children.
In the USA, the growth of The Prayer Covenant has been humbling as well. Through God’s provision, we have seen prayer movements started in spiritually cold area. In the Northwest, there is a woman that started a prayer movement in her church and community. While the movement began with small steps, it is growing as more and more individuals experience the power of The Prayer Covenant.
You, too, can start a movement of prayer at your church. Here are four simple suggestions to help you get started: 1-Pray, 2-Share, 3-Invite, 4-Train.
1. First, before sharing, before equipping, and before making plans— PRAY. Pray for God to stir the hearts of your pastor(s) and the entire church community. Pray your church family will come together and begin praying God’s will be done.
2. Second, share the stories and vision of The Prayer Covenant with your pastor and children’s workers. Our website offers many resources that will assist you in sharing the power of The Prayer Covenant as well as answering frequently asked questions.
3. Third, invite some of the children’s workers to pray The Prayer Covenant with and for one another.
4. Fourth, train the children’s workers to use The Prayer Covenant with the children. Our website has a simple online video training that will inspire and train leaders to train children how to immediately begin praying God’s will and develop a lifestyle of prayer.
We are praying for you. Please share your stories with us so we can encourage others with how God is answering prayers. One of our greatest joys is hearing of lives transformed by the power of prayer and of deepening relationships with Jesus through covenantal prayer.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for loving me and making me one of your children.
Help me love and obey you. Help me love others the way you love me. I am sorry for my sins. Wash me clean. I will praise you with my whole heart. Jesus, I want to follow you as my Lord, change me any way you want. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. I want to know your plans for me. Make me a messenger of your grace, truth and justice. Use me for your glory and to invite others to follow you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
