Acts 16:31 is an all—too familiar verse for many of us but remains as powerful today as it was when Paul spoke the words to the prison guard after he asked what he must do to be saved. Paul’s reply: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and hour household.”
This story comes from a restricted country to the gospel message but through the mouths of children and infants God has indeed ordained these little ones to silence the enemy.
A Prayer for Help from Neha
Neha is 8 Year old, she comes from a family who do not believe in Jesus Christ. One Sunday she came with her friend to Sunday school and learned an action song and Bible story. She became very interested because she received a small Prayer Covenant for Children booklet full of colourful pictures. She attended all the classes and learned so many things from the book. Her father was sick due to his bad habit of heavy drinking. Day by day her father’s health became very serious and was unable to go to work. During this time Neha remembered that she had learned about prayer in Sunday school and remembered the story of God being gracious. Next Sunday she went to the fellowship and she asked the coach to pray to the gracious and loving God for her father as he was sick for more than 10 days. The coach on the same day visited her house and prayed for her father. He explained about God’s love and His plan for mankind through Jesus Christ. The following week, the teacher again visited this girl’s father and by God’s grace he was alright and healed. He continued teaching Neha’s family about God and they started believing in Him. Through a small girl Neha her whole family’s life got transformed by the power of the gospel and now they all are regularly attending fellowship.
Let’s Pray
Father, you are not willing that anyone should perish. You are gracious, kind, slow to anger, rich in love and mercy. Thank you for hearing and answering the prayers of your people. For bringing healing to Neha’s father. We thank you for the boldness of the teacher who took time to minister to the whole family—visiting him and praying for him and teaching them to know and follow you. We ask your blessing upon this family. Continue to draw them to yourself and to one another through prayer. In Jesus name.
