Our Scripture today is found in Ephesians 3:16-19, “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
Testimonial from the Dominical Republic
Our Story is from the Dominican Republic. She writes,
“I am Esther, I am 14 years old, the oldest of three siblings. My parents separated a few years ago. One day my mother asked me to buy some supplies for the house at the fruit market. When I was walking down the street I met Rosalie, the daughter of the neighborhood pastor, she invited me to a girls’ meeting that she has every Saturday at her house, she told me that we would pray and share Bible stories and that I would have many more friends to share with.
I asked her to come to my house and talk to my mother. She did and the following Saturday I attended the prayer meeting. Rosalie gave me a little booklet that read The Prayer Covenant for Kids. There were 15 girls in the room.
The Love of Christ
We made a circle and we held hands, Rosalie began to pray, and she said;… – “thank you father for your blessings, and for bringing your daughter Ester to us, please show her your love and make her feel embraced by you at this moment” –
I felt that my heart was racing, and that the tears in my eyes were flowing without control. I could not stop crying. In fact, I cried through the entire meeting. As I cried, Rosalie and the other girls came and hugged me, but I just wanted to cry, nothing else. It was a great release. I finally stopped and stood up. Rosalie began sharing with me that God loves me and that I am His daughter,
Since then, I have a real family in which I feel the Father’s love. Although my earthly father left us, I now know the love of my heavenly father.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for loving us with an everlasting love. Thank you for the love you have lavished upon us that we should be called your children. Thank you for using Rosalie to be a channel of your love and grace to Esther and to all the girls in their small group. We ask you will encourage and strengthen their hearts. May they be able to comprehend how high and wide and deep and long is your great love and to know that love that surpasses all knowledge that they will be filled to measure with the fullness of God. In your mighty and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
