Prayer Resources
It is with a great pleasure that I’m sharing with you how my life has been transformed through the Prayer Covenant. My name is Eric. I’m 17 years old and I’m from Democratic Republic of Congo. I met with Prayer Covenant in December 2018. I was 15 at the time. My family was in severe panic because they had been a victim of cheating regarding some property. My father made a formal complaint, and the court had done the right thing by asking the adversary party to return to us the portion of land which they had stolen away. Although that has been done, spiritual attacks kept on coming from our adversaries. And my family was living in fear because we could not farm the land. As a result, my father was moving from one idol priest to another (which I was not comfortable with at all), I, the only son of my father, moved my way to pray to Jesus with a brother in our compound. My family was not attending church at the time and I didn’t know how to pray, but that friend with whom I started visiting to help me to pray in order to be protected from spiritual attacks, showed me a prayer Covenant Children’s Card that he too, had received from a certain Pastor. That was the only copy we both had. He said: this can help you to be independent in prayer. I copied the sentences of the prayer by writing them on a sheet of paper. Later on, I memorized it and had no need to have a written copy. The prayer helped me put my confident in the Lord. It was like having an army of protection. I have no fear in my life now and I believe that my family is secure even though not one of them is a Christian. My prayer now is that they will also have the power that I have experienced through prayer and knowing Jesus.
The Reminder Behind Testimonies
When I read these testimonies, it serves as a reminder of why we do what we do and why God has called us to serve the children and youth of the nations. God is indeed our refuge and strength, a very present help in troubled times. If you are experiencing hardship or troubled times, take it to the Lord in prayer and He will bring deliverance because He is faithful, He is good and he will never allow His children to be shaken.
