Even though many of us live in free countries, we often are afraid to share our faith. Our stomach gets tied up in knots. We think of multiple excuses why we are unable: “I have never been to seminary…” “Evangelism isn’t my gifting…” “I don’t know what to say…”
Don’t Fear Sharing Your Faith
Simply pray. “Lord Jesus, please give me opportunity to share your message of love with _________. Give me the right words so that I will clearly share the gospel message without fear.
Do you think Jesus will answer your prayer? Absolutely! Ask yourself these questions:
- Is it His will you share the gospel with others?
- Do you trust Him to open doors of opportunity?
- Are you willing to step out in faith and trust His leading?
Discipleship to Christ Matters
Imagine you have been sentenced to death with no hope of being set free, pardoned or rescued. You are locked in a cell, far from home. You are alone, terrified, exhausted and weeping. But then a total stranger enters your life. “Don’t be afraid. I came just for you. I am here to set you free. I am here to take your penalty. I am willing to die for you, to give my life so you can live, and not just live but experience abundant life. Because I love you, I will take your penalty and die for you.” Would this sacrificial gift compel you to share it with anyone and everyone you met?
