Today’s story comes from a restricted country in Asia. We are unable to name for the safety of our leaders there. But we are delighted and thrilled to see what God is doing as the ministry of the Prayer Covenant continues to spread.
Our Scripture is found in Acts 4:12, Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
In the following story, Jawahar mentions “a beautiful book,” referring to the Prayer Covenant for Children booklet. This makes my heart sing. As I was writing the book, I was thrilled with the colors and the characters that our illustrator, Luke Flowers, created. Children and adults alike are attracted by the vibrant colors and interesting-looking characters that illustrate each bible story.
The Lord will keep you safe from secret traps and deadly diseases.
“My name is Jawahar. This year I am preparing for my 10th-grade exam. I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to attend a tutorial centre run by Christian people. In the center, as I was preparing for my high school exam, I was introduced to a beautiful book called The Power of the Prayer Covenant for Children. It is how I encountered the living God.
As I came to know about God and his love, about salvation, sin, and repentance, etc., I received Jesus Christ into my life, and for me now He is the only Lord.
Finding the truth in him, I started sharing Christ with others. I am sharing the word of God with my friends. God is changing their lives too. I prayed for 40 days and God started to change my life. I believe if he can change my life, he can change others’ lives also. This is my prayer that God will use me as I share the Prayer Covenant with my friends and family, that I may bring many to His saving knowledge.”
One primary task of education is to teach what is worth knowing and believing. What a blessing it is to receive these kinds of testimonies as children and youth experience the power of the gospel and the power of prayer and begin to share it with others.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Jawahar and his powerful testimony. Thank you that he not only received the message of your grace, love, and forgiveness but is sharing it with others. May the seeds planted fall on rich soil. May they grow more in love each day with your Word and in prayer. May you give your angels charge over them and protect them and their families. Use us Father for your glory and to invite others to follow you. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
