Our Scripture passage today is found in Psalm 75:1, We thank You, O God. We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere tell of Your wonderful deeds.
Each morning I awoke to the Muslim call to prayer at 5 a.m. in Kuwait. It served as a reminder of their commitment and dedication to prayer — a challenge to the 21stcentury evangelical Church.
It was a joyful reunion to be with our leaders for the Middle East region and meet Pastors Pat and Jerry who oversee Lighthouse Church Kuwait – a melting pot of nationalities and denominations who meet at various times throughout Sunday and during the week. (Pictured below, from left to right, Pat, Candy and Lighthouse team member Amani.)
They did an amazing job hosting our first Kids Prayer Covenant launch where 171 came together from various churches and ministries including Awana, the Salvation Army, Rivers of Life Arabic Church, the Hindi Church, Al Salam, and many others.
The response was overwhelmingly positive. They were excited to be in attendance and had printed beautiful copies of the Kids’ Prayer Covenant Teaching Guides for their leaders to begin using right away. We anticipate great fruit coming from this region of the world. Thank you to our Prayer Covenant family for making this possible!

Prayer
Father we thank you for open doors in this region of the world. We ask that the prayer seeds sown in our time together will reap bountifully throughout Kuwait and the Middle East. Thank you for the opportunity to lead children and adults to follow Jesus through the power of the prayer covenant. Continue to bless, protect and empower our leaders in this region of the world for your glory and for your Kingdom. Amen.
