Today’s story comes from Chad, one of the largest landlocked countries in the world, located in Central Africa.
Glory Be To God
Our sister writes, in Chad there are many churches even though we are a Muslim country. Glory be to God. We church leaders thought we knew a lot about prayer but we realized early through the launch of the Prayer Covenant in August of 2016 that prayer is more than we knew. There is an indescribably sensation any time we pray the prayer covenant for children guidelines. The line “influence” reminds me personally that I was created for a purpose by my creator. I can see leaders requesting prayer cards and getting more kids involved. In our Centre where we use the prayer covenant for children’s resources, there were two teenagers from one family, 14 and 16 years old. They were living with other kids and were carrying the spirit of witchcraft for 9 years disturbing the other children more than you can imagine. But as we began praying together that Jesus Christ would be the Lord of our lives and change us any way He wants, the two children fell and the spirit started manifesting itself. That day they were delivered. It only further confirmed the prayer is inspired and powerful.”
Turning to God
There is much demon possession throughout Africa even within the church. Our leaders have shared that the witch doctors hold them under fear and say “You can go to church too but you must offer this sacrifice or do something in particular to prevent bad things from happening to their family and out of fear many times they do it only to their own ruin. That is why it is so important to disciple these children and equip them with a spirit filled prayer they can pray every day. So often they’ve shared they feel at peace and no longer scared of the dark when they pray Jesus, be the Lord of my life…”
Prayer
Father we lift these children up to you right now asking that you provide a hedge of protection around them, that you will keep them from the evil one who seeks to kill and destroy. Strengthen them in their walk with you as they discover the truths of your word and the power of prayer. Bless their teachers and pastors as they minister to them. We ask in Jesus name, Amen.
