“My name is Djire Fadila, I am 16 years old. I am from a Muslim family. I have always felt rejected by my classmates and children in my household. I have not felt the love of my parents because they think that I’m a useless girl. At a certain moment of my life, I felt lonely, thinking that no one loves me. I was always sad. But one day, on our way from school back to home, a friend of mine, who used to attend Prayer Covenant teachings program gave me a copy of Prayer Covenant Evangelism card. On that card, I saw a picture where there were two girls, one was laughing while the other was crying. That spoke to me boldly. The feeling that I got was same to the girl who was sad and crying and my friend explained me that Jesus can take away my sorrow and make me happy like the joy-filled girl. My friend has also extended an invitation to attend the following Prayer Covenant Teaching session. So, I did. That day, a light of transformation shined in my life. In fact, when the leader was illustrating the love of God through the story of the lost sheep, I realized that I am the lost sheep that needs the love of God and indeed, I was. I then understood that Jesus has been searching for me just like the shepherd searching for the lost sheep. I learned that day that God loves me. There was a certain kind of peace and joy that overflowed in my heart. I started to thank God for his love for me. It has helped me to cultivate love in my heart and show love to those around me. I also learned to forgive others. Now my relationship with others is improving and my relationship ship with God is growing strong.”
Special Prayer Cards for Children
The card she is referencing is the special prayer covenant gospel cards designed by kids for kids for use on the African continent. There is one designed just for girls and one for boys. As she shared, there is one who is crying and one who is happy. The one crying as the words sinner on the left hand side and Eternal life/true life on the right hand side as well as the words: Jesus took away what made me cry. Then at the bottom it has the message: Jesus loves you! Please accept him into your life and John 3:16 written out. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Debt Paid. Guilt Erased. Millions of these cards have been printed and distributed to children and youth throughout Africa. Pray many more like Djira will find Jesus.
