Psalm 103 is a favorite passage to preface today’s story. It begins, “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases…who crowns you with love and compassion..” We see this over and over again – God ministering to those who do not know them through his healing power. The same compassion shown to countless when he walked this earth, he is still showing today. There is so much persecution occurring against Christians throughout the world. This story comes from one of those nations.
The Compassion of Christ
Our leader there wrote:
Mohit is a boy who grew in the Lord through the teaching of the prayer covenant book. His parents witnessed the change in their son and became very open to what he was learning as he would share the Bible stories with them as well that he had been taught. Last month his father had very bad stomachache, even after taking medicine he could not get any relief. Mohit came to our leader’s house and asked him to visit his father and pray for him. The leader consoled Mohit and told that he will pray for his father and God will do His work. He then prayed for his father and God really did a miracle in his father’s life. The leader shared the gospel message with Mohit’s parents and invited them to receive Jesus into their lives. The following day he showed Jesus Film to Mohit’s parents. Now they are growing in the Lord and attending the fellowship regularly. God used young Mohit’s faith in God to minister to his parents, so they too could accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

He forgives all our sins and has the power to heal our diseases so Let us not grow weary in praying with and for those who are seeking the healing touch of our Savior.
