Today’s Scripture is found in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Prayer to God For Help
Today’s powerful story of transformation is from Nigeria.Rev. Apollos, our national Prayer Covenant leader wrote,
One day as I was on my motor bike an elderly man stopped me. After we greeted he looked me straight in the eyes and said, “You a blessed person and God will continue to bless you and your family.” I asked him what happened and this is what he had to say.

“My family and I were struggling and almost giving up. We hardly spent a week without fighting and bad issues in the family. I drank a lot and would come back home and beat my wife. The children would run away from me anytime they saw me coming home drunk. One day my grandchild came in singing, ‘Come and help me shout Hallelujah, Jehovah God has done me well. He has done so much for me, Hallelujah! I cannot tell it all Hallelujah.’”
As he was saying this he jumped up and said, “God can answer prayers! Come help me thank my grandson.”
I followed him to his house. The wife began sharing, “The Prayer Covenant has done a lot for my family and my life. My grandchild wakes me up in the morning, and he prays for the whole family and especially for his grandfather who was a drunkard and never stayed at home. He has been doing this for some time and he is using this card.” She showed me the Prayer Covenant card and said, “Jesus we praise you. Thank you Prayer Covenant. Thank you my grandchild.
After many weeks of him praying for us as a family the situation in our home has changed. My husband stopped getting drunk, and he stays at home regularly. We now pray as a family because of the prayers of this child. Praise the Lord!
She then advised me to continue the good work I am doing through the children. She said this will change the community if we continue in prayers.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the power of answered prayer and for answering young Joshua Dogonyaro’s prayers for his family. Thank you for using this little boy to bring transformation into their home. We ask that they will continue to grow more and more in love with you and with one another. May they continue to grow spiritually and remain faithful Jesus followers. May your love and grace continue to transform the lives of families all over the world. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
