The Power of Prayer
I received a few highlights from our African continent leader:
Joshua wrote. I am twelve years old. The Prayer Covenant comic book helped me discover the power of God. In the discipleship lesson, I understood that God can change bad people into good people. I want God to send me His light as he did for Paul to enlighten me on how to worship him. Thank you.
Catherine Avissee wrote. I am 13 years old. When I WENT THROUGH THE BOOKLET OF THE PRAYER COVENANT, I UNDERSTOOD MANY THINGS ABOUT THE BIBLE: FAITH, PARADISE, THE POWER OF GOD IN PRAYER AND THE LOVE OF GOD FOR ME. THIS BOOKLET SHOWS ME THE WAY TO FOLLOW AND BECOME A TRUE FRIEND OF Jesus by praying every day. It also changes my behavior towards other people. I am learning to love everyone as Jesus loves me. This booklet is very good.
Our leader also shared that Compassion International Church partner discovered the Prayer Covenant teaching can help their sponsored children build a lifestyle of prayer. They invited Elias and his team to teach their children in Togo, West Africa.
One leader from Benin (also in West Africa) shared: After seeing the usefulness of the Prayer Covenant, one of the schools where we teach in the district of Hevie has decided to teach through the prayer systematically each morning. After raising the flag, the whole school prays the pray covenant together and continue with a time of praising God before classes begin.
Our leader in Sierra Leone shared: through the ministries of an evangelist in our church, the Ebenezer Baptist church for the first time has a children’s intercessory group. The group meets one hour each week to pray. This has not happened in the history of our church.
Love of god
We love these reports of children growing in prayer and leading prayer times. This is the heartbeat of the Prayer Covenant ministry. Thank you for being part of what God is doing to raise up a generation of prayer warriors and faithful Jesus followers. Thank you for your prayer and financial support. You are investing in eternity and impacting the lives of children all over the world.
Prayer
Father God, I thank you for every listener on this call today. I pray that you will bless them—bless their families, their marriages, their finances. Strengthen them in their inner being. Remind them of your great love. May they grasp how wide and long and deep and high is your love for them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
